Strength & Balance Exercise for Older Adults

Please note: due to the current Covid-19 pandemic we are not doing face-to-face sessions or community classes, in-line with government guidelines. Kate is delivering a number of online classes via Zoom and we have set-up an online Facebook group to promote sessions and host live workouts. It’s never too late to improve physical fitness, to start exercising and reap the rewards that being more active brings! Strength and balance exercise is a programme for older adults, centred around falls prevention and rehabilitation from falls. The aim to improve and build core strength and balance, so that people can remain active, mobile and independent for as long as possible.

Sessions can be delivered on a 1-2-1 basis as a private personal training session, in the comfort of your own home or in a group class format, which is a great way to get out of the house, have a change of scenery, socialise and form new friendships.

Both Kate and Ruth are qualified to deliver these sessions and have experience of working with people of all abilities and experience levels. Sessions incorporate a mix of chair based, standing and movement exercises using bodyweight, exercise bands and light hand weights. All tailored to an individuals or group ability, and all modifiable so that an individual can work within their capabilities.
